Welcome to the Second International Youth Mental Health Conference Blog
Welcome to the blog for the Second International Youth Mental Health Conference; Young people at the forefront of reshaping services.
We are really excited to be hosting the Conference in Brighton this year and are looking forward to meeting so many of you and hearing about the incredible work and contribution you are all making to changing the way the global community thinks about young people and their mental health.
This will be a conference that aims to improve our understanding of youth mental heath, identify gaps in service provision, promote more effective interventions and models of care. The conference will also allow us to celebrate the vital contribution that young people and their families can make to this field.
In the coming weeks, a number of people who will be attending and participating in the Conference will start sharing there thoughts on youth mental health and the state of play via this blog, so that we can all begin to engage in the ideas and issues before we connect in Brighton in a few months time.
If you haven’t already can I take this opportunity to encourage you to consider becoming a member of the IAYMH by visiting iaymh.org. It’s free and it’s a great way to get involved in shaping the debate around youth mental health.
